Bypass surgery has a fascinating, if barbaric history. That history is part of the longer history of the whole fraud of "high cholesterol" and the scare campaign to get you to eat a diet specifically designed to create heart disease -- not reverse it.
The history of these current evils is important to understand because you can see how we have changed, in just the last 50 years, from a relatively sane, if ineffective, medical system, to a system that is now both insane AND ineffective. It can get worse!
As the fraud of bypass starts to be disclosed, even by Dr. Bressler, a past President of the American Heart Association, the word itself has been changed to confuse the public. It is no longer called "bypass," but instead is referred to as "revascularization." That term will be enough to hide the truth for many more years.
